DescriptionRamsbottom Urban District Council commenced bus services in 1923, initially overlapping with the declining trolley bus service. It was the smallest transport undertaking in Greater Manchester, and its joint venture with Bury Corporation/Ribble Motor Services was eventually taken over by S.E.L.N.E.C.
