DescriptionPhotograph of the joiners' workshop inside the town hall of Jackson & Edmans who were the architects of the building. Work started before Wordl War II and when peace was resumed, Spencer & Clarks were responsible for all of the wooden interiors such as the doors and the windows.

The first man on the right is the donor's father-in-law Fred haley who worked on the windows before the war and then returned 16 years later as site manager for Spencer & Clarke who were the main contractors.

The photograph was taken before the town hall was opened in 1954.
