TitleBurrs Mill, Bury
DescriptionIn 1790s the Peel family established large cotton Mill at Burrs. By 1850 this was acquired by the Calrow family who had to sell it in 1860s. It became a bleachworks in 1870 but closed in 1933.Demolished 1953. Calrows also erected Higher Woodhill Cotton Mill just across the river from Burrs.
