DescriptionFounded by the Grant family as a Presbyterian School in Dundee, Ramsbottom in 1868. A new Church of England School was opened in June 1872 on Bolton Street. It became a school with 'aided status' after the 1944 Education Act and has been under control of local authority from 1946.
